What is Splight?

Splight is a real-time electricity infrastructure platform built to unlock the full capacity of the power grid. It helps energy companies solve curtailment, accelerate interconnections for power plants and data centers, and actively respond to contingencies as they happen. By dynamically managing grid constraints, Splight enables utilities, generators, and developers to access more transmission capacity—without waiting for new infrastructure. Whether you're building clean energy, operating a battery, or siting a data center, Splight gives you the tools to move faster and operate smarter in a constrained grid.

Getting Started

Account Creation

• Verify your email address. You will receive an invitation link to create your account. If you can't find the email, please reach to your assignated Implementation Manager.

• Sign up by providing your name, email, and password; or using SSO if your account has it. If you need SSO ask your Implementation Manager.

• Log in to the platform using your account.

Configure Your Account

• Go to the Settings section.

• In the Preferences tab, set your preferred theme, language, region, measurement units, and map style.

After creating and configuring your account, you can start exploring Splight!

Two Ways to Work with Splight

There are two ways to interact with Splight, depending on your workflow and preferences:

1. Manual from the Platform UI (at app.splight.com)

You can manage and configure everything directly through the Splight platform’s. This method is ideal for those who prefer a visual, step-by-step approach to adding assets, configuring dashboards, setting alerts, and more.

2. Making requests with cURL or Splight Lib to the Splight API

For users who prefer automation or need to manage large-scale deployments, Splight also provides scripting and console access. Using Splight’s API and/or a python library, you can automate repetitive tasks, manage resources programmatically, and integrate Splight with other tools in your tech stack.
